The Goldendoodle coat colors are a wide range. The Golden Retriever ancestry brings shades of Cream, Apricot & Red.

The Poodle brings the cream, apricot and red shades as well as black, chocolate, silver and gray.

Abstract: A solid color with white markings that cover less than 50% of the body. Other names for Abstract are Mismarks and chrome.

Sable: Black-tipped hairs; the background color can be gold to yellow, silver, gray, or tan. The darkness of the coat depends on how much of each hair is black versus the lighter color.

Phantom: Solid color with a second color that presents as specific points on the face, eyebrows, chest, interior of all four legs and under their tail.

Merle: Different coat colors and patterns caused when a dog has one copy of the Merle gene (M Allele). This creates spots or smears of color in the coat. This can also affect eye color and skin pigment.
